Want to know what one of our favorite breakfast to prepare is?
Oatmeal. Just plain ol' Oats. Not the instant crap. I buy it in bulk at a local store and find it a much better price to feed all my little ones then to buy the instant packets or cereal etc.
The only problem is, It is kind of yuck. Really. Oatmeal can be healthy but its flavor is blah.
SO we need to add something to it to make it tasty.
Our answer is Coffee Creamers!
Have you ever looked and saw how many flavor's there are?
Especially during the Holiday season!
I don't drink coffee but walking past these yummy looking things, how could you not want to try them? I think it was around the time of when we moved here that I first grabbed one and tried it on oatmeal. SOOOO good!
Other favorites,... egg nog, cinnabon, Almond joy (we add a tiny bit of cocoa powder, and a handful of sliced almonds and it is just like the Candy bar!) So yum!
So, no more sugar. No more honey.
We just add a few small teaspoons of creamer to a bowl of hot oatmeal and it is delicious!!!
My girls usually hate oatmeal but when I have creamers on hand they gobble it up and ask for seconds. I checked the labels and it is more healthy then me dumping sugar on.
Other ways we use coffee creamers ,
Mix a teaspoon in a large cold glass of milk for a fun flavor kick. My girls love this treat!
Mix in a bit with milk and make steamed milk when you crave a hot drink.

Jen-Lee: You should try steel cut oats! They are fabulous and they have a slight crunch to them, even after cooked:)!
I haven't tried this cereal yet.I love to eat cornflex and fruity loops.Oatmeals is something new , i will certainly give it a try.I hope it makes me lose some weight.
