Hello friends!
Just checking in to say hello. Its been quite busy around here as you can imagine. Getting life back in order with a new addition in the family. I tell ya, having a baby boy is much sweeter then I realized it would be. He is just adorable and has won our hearts forever. I love that I can call him "Mr." I don't know why. Just holding him and saying "Hey, little Mr." is just so fun!
We have the flu bug passing around this week. NO FUN AT ALL! When I got my sweet Sophie out of bed this morning she was in the corner saying "its a no no, its a no no" over and over. I looked and quickly realized she had thrown up in her bed all over. It wasn't as bad because she refused dinner last night but it was still yuk. So as I took her to the bathroom for clean up she started to say in her sweet baby voice way "I'm farry, I'm farry" which means " I'm sorry"
I realized why she said sorry. Lately she has been spitting her food out and getting in trouble at dinner for it. She does not understand what happened, but knew it was food getting "spit up" and that she was not supposed to do that. So sad right? It's hard to explain the difference of throwing up vs. spitting food out on purpose to a 23 mo. old. Well, we all learn eventually I guess.
That's all for now. Wish us luck that the flu leaves our home soon. The Lord has been so good ti us though. It has been a lighter "flu" experience and I luckily got over it in a day 1/2. Hopefully the last two don't get it and we can be done. Not an easy thing with a newborn.
I hope to be back to normal blogging soon. I still have lots to share with you including some new exciting books I have been reading!
